Hope Harbor was founded in late 2010 as an affiliate of St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church, with a targeted mission to help to tackle poverty in the Edmonson Community using a holistic approach. In 2021 and 2022, Hope Harbor’s experience in fulfilling our mission for over a decade, coupled with the COVID-19 pandemic, led us to reconsider how to best serve our community.
In early 2023, we formally transitioned into Hope Harbor Community Development Corporation (Hope Harbor CDC) with a new mission and vision focused on housing revitalization and community stabilization. Our goal is to help facilitate community improvement projects in collaboration with existing community groups and associations conditions, and to address concerns of our community members surrounding issues such as housing assistance, public safety, and senior support services.
